Sephardic Shabbaton in Seattle Recap

Our Sephardic Shabbaton in Seattle was an amazing weekend of connecting teens from all over the country. We kicked the shabbaton Thursday night with ice breakers and a delicious dinner at Sephardic Bikkur Cholim.

Friday morning after tefillah, we explored downtown Seattle with a visit to the iconic Space Needle, then headed home to prepare for Shabbat. Friday night, the community gathered for a warm Shabbat dinner, engaging learning sessions, and a lively oneg.

Shabbat day continued with tefillah at “Ezzy Bezzy” and lunch at SBH, followed by more meaningful sessions. Saturday night featured a delicious dairy dinner and a creative menorah-painting activity to get ready for Chanukah.

We wrapped up the weekend Sunday with tefillah, a visit to Pike Place Market, and a scenic trip to Snoqualmie Falls. Our next shabbaton is slated for March 2025 in Orlando, FL!

Many thanks to the Seward Park community for hosting our shabbaton and for housing many of our teens! Special thanks to Sephardic Bikkur Cholim and Ezra Bessaroth for hosting meals and being a sponsor of the event!
